artist history:
indie rock band running on rooftops has been a work in progress for many years based out of small town wilton, connecticut. each member's genuine passion for music evolved from a young age being involved in many kinds of musical endeavors.
drummer tim newton and vocalist/guitarist p.j. de villiers began experimenting musically after becoming brothers in law a year and a half ago. after playing in fast eddie together in the summer of 2002, they started a new project called running on rooftops.
with tim's long time friend and musical companion tim edgar they found a great chemistry together quickly, and began working hard to develop new material to put out their first release.

sounds like:
atmospheric and angular post hardcore, with strong touches of thursday.

future plans:
the band are currently planning an east coast tour, and a 5 track self-titled ep is now available.
