INTERVIEW:

With their hyperactive brand of prog-punk-hardcore-rock, threesome Fall of Troy have been making some big asymmetrical waves from their new home at Equal Vision Records. Kill The Noise caught up with drummer Andrew Forsman for some quick Q&A..
How would you describe The Fall of Troy to someone who hasn't heard you guys yet?
Loud, fast, crazy.
How'd you get into writing music that's so progressive / unpredictable?
We like to challenge ourselves, and in doing so end up playing some really weird things.
Equal Vision recently released your full length Doppelganger, are you happy with how it turned out? Anything you'd change looking back?
I'm very happy with it. It is a snapshot of us at that time, and I think its pretty good.
What made you decide to rework some older songs for the record?
They weren't recorded to their full potential the first time.
How did you come to be on Equal Vision?
They heard about us, eventually saw us, and then signed us.
The artwork for Doppelganger is pretty cool (and unusual!), who came up with that?
Heidi Meyers (I think that's her last name) did it as well as our first album's cover.

What does "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X." stand for?
It’s a BIG secret.
What happened to the fourth member? Ever tempted to add another guitarist these days?
He's in a new band with some of our old friends. No temptation to add another.
You recently visited Europe, how was that? Was it your first time?
It was our first time as a band and it was incredible. The kids were so nice, and the culture was amazing.
Have you written any new material since Doppelganger?
Yes, a few songs.
Is there any set direction you want to take the music for the next record? Louder? Faster? More ballads?
All of the above.
What bands are you listening to at the moment?
Lots of early to mid 90's hip hop and rap. Lots of Tupac and Dre.
Favourite record of 2005?
Terrorhawk (Bear vs Shark)
What's next for The Fall of Troy?
UK in March, lots of US touring, and hopefully recording before the end of the year
